We're looking for a Surveyor (PLS) to join the HMB team in Indiana!

  • Lead and manage surveying projects, including roadways, bridges, utilities and related infrastructure. 
  • Supervise a team of surveyors, ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines and budgets. 
  • Coordinate and collaborate with engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to meet project goals. 
  • Review and interpret survey data for design and construction purposes. 
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards. 
  • Manage project documentation, including survey reports, drawings, and permits. 
  • Conduct fieldwork when necessary, providing technical oversight and guidance. 
  • Ensure the safety of all team members and compliance with safety regulations in the field.

  • 8+ years of experience in land surveying, with a focus on transportation projects. 
  • Indiana Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required. 
  • Proficiency with surveying equipment and software, including MicroStation, ORD, and Civil 3D. 
  • Strong understanding of transportation design and survey requirements. 
  • Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
