Job Summary:

We are seeking a Surgery Scheduler for Urology office to join our team! As a Surgery Scheduler you will schedule surgery time with hospital and pre op clearances prior to surgery dates. You will work closely with physician regarding all scheduling issues e.g. block times, scheduling changes and special equipment.

Responsibilities:

Will maintain positive relationships with patients, family members, and all other personnel of hospitals and other physician offices

Will communicate effectively with patients as to surgery times, and other surgery matters needing explanation

Surgery Scheduler will perform various routine clerical tasks primarily dealing with all surgeries

Assist front office with various front office tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, scanning and faxing

Surgery scheduler will handle insurance inquiries and be able to verify insurance

Qualifications:

EMR knowledge

Bilingual Spanish Preferred
