Job description

A&M Surgery Center in Colton, CA is looking for one scrub tech to join our surgical team.

Our ideal candidate is attentive, organized, and engaged.

Responsibilities

  • Assists during surgery by passing instruments, supplies and assisting the physician as directed; monitors and responds to and assists in acute emergency situations.
  • Abides to prescribed aseptic techniques as required for surgical procedures to maintain a sterile area.
  • Completes necessary arrangements of operating room prior to surgical procedures by setting up or laying out instruments, surgical trays, and assembling equipment items as required for procedures.
  • Cleans operating room after surgical procedures by disposing of contaminated instruments; disassembling instruments for sterilization required.
  • Maintains and ensures operational readiness of instruments and equipment, departmental supplies and sterilized items.
  • Maintains professional relationships patients and other staff members.
  • Promotes and improves customer service to patients by demonstrating skills extraordinary customer relations and quality service. Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.


Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Required Scrub Tech License/Certification in CA
  • Must have BLS/ACLS Certification
  • Proficient Medical Terminology
  • 1 year experience highly preferred but not required
