Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Surgery Scheduler to coordinate, book, and schedule surgical procedures. The primary goal is to ensure seamless surgical scheduling and coordination directly through hospital systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, book, and schedule surgical procedures directly through hospital systems and networks.
  • Communicate with external primary care and pediatric offices to coordinate required patient labs and pre-operative clearances prior to surgeries.
  • Ensure all medical consent forms, documentation, and pre-op clearances are fully completed and organized before the scheduled surgery date.
  • Partner and collaborate closely with the internal surgical team to manage expanding surgical calendar volumes.

Qualifications
  • Proven professional experience in surgical scheduling, coordination, or medical booking.
  • Direct experience communicating with hospital scheduling departments and navigating hospital coordination processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing pre-operative requirements, labs, and medical clearance documentation.
  • Prior experience coordinating surgeries within pediatric medical specialties or neurosurgery practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity or direct hands-on experience working within the ModMed EMR platform is preferred.

Skills

Additional Requirements
Full-time, Monday - Friday. Candidates must maintain flexibility to work within an 8:00 AM - 5:30/6:00 PM window to accommodate clinical patient demands.
