OVERVIEW
The Support/Expeditor is organized, detail oriented, and energetic, with a connection to both the Back of House team and Front of House team. Using our TOAST KDS expo screen, you will successfully review orders for BOTH of our high-volume service areas, takeout orders and delivery orders. You will be an instrumental part of making sure all orders are complete, correct and in line with Night Shift Providence's standards for quality in both flavor and presentation. The ideal candidate for this position possesses strong attention to detail and thrives in a fast paced, stimulating environment. Expo will also run food, clear tables and help with sauces, tray building, and other key components of our "craft better" food program.
The description below is for the Support/Expeditor position, but everyone works side by side. We believe in cross-training for all positions and flexibility and communication is key to success within the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and understand all guest orders, including in-restaurant dining, takeout and delivery
  • Distinguish between our guest facing counter pickup window and Taproom orders, expediting accordingly
  • Receive, check and pack all guest takeout orders
  • Keep a close eye on quality, consistency, and ticket times
  • Communicate effectively to both front of house and back of house teams
  • Keep all materials for takeout/delivery and dining organized, including plates, bags, boxes & labels
  • Build a knowledge of all food menus and established standards, striving for consistency in both flavor and presentation
  • Replenish sauces, ramekins, and specific containers designated to specific service areas
  • Direct and assist food runners in delivering food
  • Other tasks, as assigned

MUST-HAVE SKILLS
  • Weekend availability is a MUST
  • Organized, thorough, and precise
  • Has stamina and loves a high-energy environment
  • Communicates well, preferably in both English and Spanish
  • Analytical and systematic in their thinking
  • Maintains composure under pressure
  • Passion for hospitality
  • Understanding of ticket times and kitchen metrics
  • Previous BOH management or line experience
  • FOH management experience a plus
  • Must be 18 or older
  • A positive, joyful, upbeat and energetic attitude - leading by example
