Starting Salary: $16.50 Hr
Employment Type: Hourly FT
Work Environment: Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm with occasional Friday's/OT
Job Summary:
The Tier Assistant is responsible for a full scope of services including facilitates the finishing stage in the production of wood moulding by receiving, bundling, and stacking finished material from the moulding line. This position handles the finishing stage for Woodgrain customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Pushes/pulls dolly to designated area in facility.
  • Pulls/receives finished material from moulding machine.
  • Bundles and ties moulding according to specifications.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be safety minded while working in a production environment.
  • Complies with company standard operating procedures, safety policies, and OSHA standards.

Additional Skills:
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Promotes teamwork by assisting other crew members with their duties as needed to ensure quality and production targets are met.
  • Lifting and physical activity is required for this position, must be able to move boards and wood pieces.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Travel:
This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
