What is the Opportunity?

Are you passionate about driving innovation in application development and streamlining the software delivery lifecycle? As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring that our applications are built, tested, and deployed with speed, reliability, and compliance to the Enterprise security standards. You will contribute to efforts of enhance developer productivity, optimize build pipelines, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the application development lifecycle.


What will you do?

  • Enable AI Capabilities to increase Developer Productivity
  • Work with product owners and key stakeholders to develop high value features that benefit the RBC Developer community
  • Maintain the CI/CD pipeline: security and vulnerability management, capacity management, deployment and scaling strategies, performance and uptime, infrastructure hygiene
  • Provide estimates on feature delivery, identify and determine delivery risks on key identify, and contribute to quarterly product road map planning
  • Review contributions from the Developer community and approve PRs

What do you need to Succeed?

Must-Have

  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Proficiency in Typescript , Java and/or Python,
  • Familiarity with application containers (e.g. Docker)
  • Foundational understanding of DevOps Principles and CI/CD best practices, including how they apply at an enterprise scale.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools, platforms, and interfaces: Github, Github Actions, JFrog Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault
  • Some experience deploying applications to cloud platforms: OCP, Azure, AWS

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with QE Automation Tools
  • Development and support of applications hosted on Cloud platforms
  • Experience with SecOps
