Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team based in Mississauga. This is an on-site role supporting end users across a busy enterprise environment, including office and warehouse operations.
The successful candidate will have strong desktop support experience and be comfortable troubleshooting a broad range of endpoint devices, operating systems, user issues and warehouse technology.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laptop and desktop imaging, deployment, configuration and refresh activities.
  • Provide hands-on support for Windows-based desktop and laptop environments.
  • Support end users with hardware, software and peripheral-related issues.
  • Assist with Microsoft Intune device management, administration and troubleshooting.
  • Carry out basic Active Directory user administration, including account management and access-related support.
  • Troubleshoot and support enterprise printers, including warehouse and industrial printers such as Zebra devices.
  • Support warehouse technology including RF scanners, RF guns and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve endpoint device issues across office and operational environments.
  • Log, track and manage incidents and service requests through the organization's ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues where required and work closely with wider infrastructure and support teams.
  • Maintain excellent customer service while supporting users across multiple business functions.
Required Experience:
  • Proven experience in a Desktop Support, IT Support or End User Computing role.
  • Strong experience with Windows operating systems installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with laptop and desktop imaging and deployment processes.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Intune device management.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory user administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting hardware, software and peripheral devices.
  • Experience troubleshooting printers, ideally including Zebra or other industrial printers.
  • Exposure to warehouse devices such as RF scanners and handheld terminals.
  • Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing tools and incident management processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience supporting users within warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • Knowledge of mobile device management technologies.
  • Exposure to enterprise endpoint management and asset management processes.
Personal Attributes:
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently in a hands-on support environment.
  • Organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working directly with end users across multiple locations and departments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer who enjoys providing hands-on technical support and being visible within the business rather than working remotely.
