Job description

Mission of the Role (What you will be doing)

The Warehouse Associate reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for completing various daily warehouse functions that fulfill SupplyOne’s mission to fulfill Clients’ needs. The right candidate will be trained on accurately packaging and transferring product and materials to fulfill orders, inventory, and load/unload trailers. SupplyOne is a lean organization and the Warehouse Associate, like all SupplyOne employees, is expected to roll up his or her sleeves and be adaptable to changing work priorities which ensure that crucial tasks are completed.

Key Duties & Accountabilities (Primary responsibilities & quantifiable metrics)

- Directly responsible for the unloading of trucks, the receiving of, the quality check of, and the putting away of materials as assigned

- Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.

- Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas by forklift or other common material handling tools.

- Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

- Filling requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated truck.

- Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.

- Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

- Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

- Assisting in counting of physical inventory.

- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

- Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe.

Educational/Training Requirements/Experience (What your background should look like)

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent

- Some warehouse experience (including operating forklifts) is preferred

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements

- Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks; follow-through

- Must possess some computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internet, and basic knowledge of office equipment, including copiers, scanners, and fax machines.

- Proficiency with forklifts, as well as sit down & upright reach trucks.

- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English in order to receive moderate to complex verbal instructions and understand documentation as it relates to shipping/receiving duties.

The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.  In addition to our compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including the following:
