The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Director of Business Development for the Central U.S. In this key role, you’ll leverage your deep expertise in packaging and sales to build lasting relationships, uncover new opportunities, and exceed ambitious targets—while representing a company that values innovation and collaboration.

What You’ll Do

•    Lead growth by driving sales and increasing profitability through digitally produced graphic packaging solutions.
•    Manage key accounts while developing new business opportunities to drive strategic growth in the field.
•    Identify and capitalize on strategic sales opportunities by collaborating with Sales teams.
•    Work with Sales and locations to develop strategies that target specific end-user segments (e.g., E-Commerce).
•    Build and nurture relationships with customers, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) and successful project execution.
•    Prospect and acquire new business while maintaining ongoing relationships with existing clients to achieve sales goals.
•    Coordinate RFQs and other requests associated with strategic accounts.


Essential Functions
•    Drive sales of all products and services at profitable levels.
•    Understand and articulate the full range of products and services to customers.
•    Utilize CRM systems effectively and maintain accurate reports and documentation.
•    Foster key relationships in critical accounts, in collaboration with senior leadership.
•    Identify and execute strategies for key account retention and growth.
•    Support product and service education/training for the sales team.
•    Provide technical sales support and work with suppliers to meet client needs.
•    Develop and lead sales strategies to increase product sales and profitability across multiple categories and service platforms.
 

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in sales with a strong background in packaging.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
  • Proven success in printing/packaging sales.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in digital printing, sheet plant operations, or packaging distribution.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in cold calling and prospecting new clients.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors such as work location, job-related skills, qualifications, experience, responsibilities, and relevant education and training.  In addition to our compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including the following:
