Job description

Job Description:
The State University of New York (SUNY) seeks a full-time Enrollment Database Specialist in the Office of Enrollment Services at SUNY System Administration. This position develops custom applications, features, and integrations within the CRM platform for SUNY campuses and System Administration. This position will also collaborate with the Solutions Architect to gather and analyze requirements, creates and maintains technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides, and delivers training to CRM users both at System Administration and campuses.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Under the direction of the CRM Solutions Architect, implement CRM solutions for admissions and student success at both System Administration and SUNY campuses.
  • Build, test, and maintain forms, event templates, portals, applications, workflows, essential data elements, and system or feature updates throughout the year and during annual cycle prep process.
  • Assist in the development of queries, reports, portals, and dashboards to facilitate easier and more accurate reporting.
  • Manage and perform data imports from external sources into CRMs. Create import configurations, run import configurations and monitor import logs.
  • Manage and perform data exports from CRMs. Create export configurations and monitor success.
  • Assist end users with campaign management.
  • Report conversion and yield data for various initiatives.
  • Maintain data accuracy, integrity and security of all student records.
  • Train end-users at System Administration and SUNY campuses.
  • Develop written procedures and user manuals to ensure proper use of the CRM.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to functionality.
  • Perform other duties and activities in support of the mission of the Office of Enrollment Services as requested.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2 years of experience with CRM applications.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts.
  • Strong technical skills and aptitude.
  • Skill in writing technical documentation clearly and concisely for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with creative solutions.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through and simultaneously manage multiple priorities.
Additional Information:
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. VISA sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Salary is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, training, and certifications. The range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 annually.
  • The state title for this position is Lead Programmer/Analyst (SL-3) and is part of the United University Professions Union.
  • Excellent Benefit Package which includes: NYS health insurance, free dental and vision coverage, competitive retirement options, tuition assistance, parental leave at full pay, and generous vacation, sick, and holiday time. Generous amount of time off: 13 days of paid holidays per year; 15 days of vacation and 15 days of sick time accrued for the first year of employment. Then increases thereafter.
