Part-Time Alt. Transportation Advisor - BMW of El Cajon
Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
As a Dealership Alternative Transportation Advisor, you will be responsible for guiding customers through alternative transportation options while their vehicles are being serviced or repaired. You will focus on providing exceptional customer service by offering viable alternatives such as rental cars, electric scooters, ride-sharing services, and public transit options. Your goal is to enhance the customer experience and streamline service processes.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide customers with information about alternative transportation options available while their vehicles are being serviced. This includes rental cars, loaner vehicles, ride-sharing services, and public transit options.
  • Facilitate the booking of alternative transportation services for customers, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. Coordinate with rental agencies, ride-sharing companies, and other service providers as needed.
  • Promote any dealership-specific programs related to alternative transportation, such as discounts on rentals or special partnerships with local transit services.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers regarding their alternative transportation options, service timelines, and any changes to their transportation arrangements.
  • Gather feedback from customers about their experience with alternative transportation options and use this information to improve the dealership's services and offerings.
  • Work closely with the service department, rental agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that alternative transportation options are available and meet customer needs.
  • Track and report on the usage and effectiveness of alternative transportation options provided, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Address any issues or concerns that arise regarding alternative transportation services, resolving them promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Drives vehicles to rearrange them across the sales lot and to refuel as needed.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least one year of verifiable driving experience.
  • Previous experience in customer service role.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record; required to have California driver's license within 30 days following date of hire.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
