Vehicle Acquisition Representative I - Kearny Mesa Chevrolet

Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Vehicle Acquisition Representative I supports the vehicle acquisition team by assisting in sourcing, evaluating, and processing vehicle purchases. This role involves administrative tasks, research, and coordination to ensure the efficient acquisition of quality inventory.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in identifying potential vehicle acquisition opportunities through online platforms, auctions, and trade-ins.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicles acquired, including pricing, condition, and vendor information in the inventory management system.
  • Liaise with vendors, auction houses, and other dealerships to gather information about available vehicles and facilitate negotiations.
  • Help with the preliminary assessment of vehicle conditions and histories to assist the acquisition team in making informed decisions.
  • Conduct test drives to assess their mechanical performance.
  • Prepare and organize documents related to vehicle purchases, including purchase agreements and title transfers.
  • Assist in generating reports on vehicle inventory, acquisition costs, and market trends for the acquisition team.
  • Ensure all acquisition processes adhere to company policies and legal regulations.
  • Ensure all vehicle acquisitions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of verifiable driving experience
  • .Knowledge of the automotive market and trends.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California driver's license within 30 days following date of hire.

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
