ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Neuro ICU for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina.

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week can be offered
• Patient ratios typically 2:1, may flex to 3:1 during high census
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float requirement - yes
• No call requirement
• Must have minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience (no general ICU experience accepted)
• Travel experience required - unit will NOT accept first-time travelers
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Required skills: vents, IV start, neuro intensive care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drains (EVD), ICP monitoring, post neurosurgery management, care of ventilated patients, isolation precautions/PPE use, lumbar drain experience
• Preferred skills: arterial line management
• Epic charting system experience required
• 24-hour orientation (2 days or 2 nights)
• Scrubs: navy blue and white
• Up to 7 days RTO auto approved (no holidays), must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Work with patient population including strokes, craniotomies, carotid procedures, aneurysm treatments, seizures, and myasthenia gravis

This healthcare facility operates as a comprehensive stroke center providing specialized neurological intensive care services. The 13-bed unit maintains an average daily census of 11-12 patients and offers interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The facility specializes in advanced neurological procedures and utilizes specialized equipment including EVDs, lumbar drains, Camino ICP monitoring, LICOX, NICOM, and Arctic Sun systems.
