QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred and one year experience in related field. Excellent customer service skills required. MUST possess a valid Arizona driverโ€™s license, ability to pass Arizona DOT medical/physical examination, successfully complete training programs with post-training qualification period, successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, ability to be re-certified periodically on Standard Operating Procedures as well as through examination on all rules and hands-on proficiency, ability to write clear and concise reports and must be available to work weekends, holidays and evening hours.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This is a multi-level position that includes operating, dispatching, supervising, and monitoring Sun Link Streetcar operations and alignment via the Operations Control Center (OCC); monitoring work assignments and communicating with Streetcar Operators in the field; coordinates service requirements, oversee field operations and provide training to Streetcar Operators.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Operate Streetcar, directly oversee and coordinate Streetcar Operators work by answering inquiries from operators, have regular contact with the public, acting as a liaison, coordinate operators assignments, investigate accidents, incidents, derailments and injuries, and maintain a variety of reports; troubleshoot and operate malfunctioning light rail vehicles; operate track switches and provide hand signals or traffic flagging; must be available to work weekends, holidays and evening hours.
