Job description

Summary of Position
The Campus Administrative Assistant is responsible for fulfilling the vision of Summit Church through administrative, operational, and logistical support of the Summit Church Brier Creek Campus.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Administrative gifting; strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and efficient
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Gifted in data entry and tracking
  • Anticipates needs and manages time well; ability to multi-task numerous projects
  • Discretion in handling personal and/or confidential information
  • Preferred proficiency in Google Suite and quick learner of other digital systems
  • A member of the Summit Church or willing and able to become a member
  • Personal integrity and evidence of ongoing spiritual growth, as required of all church employees (church attendance, small group membership, tithing, etc).

Responsibilities
Administration & Resourcing
  • Take detailed notes and participate in weekly staff meetings, offering input and ideas that help any and all aspects of the ministry.
  • Assist Campus Leadership with Campus calendar management, including submitting room reservations, and catering orders
  • Assist Campus Leadership with room/campus space set up for meetings and campus gatherings.
  • Assist Campus Leadership with Brier Creek Campus events on the Summit website
  • Print materials and order supplies for campus events, as needed
  • Request background checks and the creation of lanyards on behalf of ministries
  • Monitor campus mailbox pickup and dropoff
  • Send out transfer letters to churches of former members
  • Assist Campus Leadership with coordination between the campus team and ministry support or central staff teams (ie: central admins, HR, Finance, Digital Strategy, etc.)

Campus Communication
  • Assist Campus Leadership with coordinating campus communication management via the Rock (Summit website and database), email, phone, and mail
  • Assist with weekly campus wide communications
  • Prepare assigned campus specific rotating slides for weekend services and meetings from Canva templates
  • Send out sympathy cards, condolence letters, new baby cards, thinking of you cards to church members as needed.

Financial
  • Offer support to the Campus Pastor with budget management
  • Assist campus leadership in budget reconciliation and other fiscal responsibilities
  • Submit expense reports, reimbursements, and assist with budget tracking.

Churchwide Events
The hours for this position are expected to be 40 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold.
Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event.
