We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance Department at our main administrative office. This full-time in-office position may be filled at the Compliance Specialist I, II, or III level depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, and demonstrated knowledge of banking compliance and risk management.
What you will do:
  • Monitor and test compliance with federal and California banking laws and regulations.
  • Review bank policies, procedures, disclosures, forms, notices, and marketing materials.
  • Assist with compliance risk assessments and regulatory change management activities.
  • Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations.
  • Monitor and track consumer and business complaints.
  • Maintain compliance records, tracking systems, and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct regulatory research and analyze regulatory changes.
  • Prepare compliance reports, summaries, metrics, and presentations.
  • Support corrective action plans and remediation efforts.
  • Assist with regulatory and job-specific training administration.
  • Collaborate with business units to promote compliant business practices.

Compliance Specialist I Qualifications: Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred. One year of related banking, audit, risk, operations, or compliance experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. / Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compliance Specialist II Qualifications: Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred. Minimum three years of banking compliance, audit, risk, or regulatory experience. Community banking experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Regulation B, Regulation Z, Regulation DD, BSA/AML, UDAAP, and CRA. / Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compliance Specialist III Qualifications: Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred. Minimum five years of banking compliance, audit, risk management, or regulatory experience. Strong community banking experience preferred. CRCM designation is a plus. Advanced knowledge of consumer compliance regulations and banking operations. / Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
