Position Summary:ย 

As a member of the Food & Beverage team, you will workย directlyย with theย Pastry Chefย to meetย dailyย operational needs of theย bakery department.ย ย This position willย operateย in a workingย bakery, prepping foodย items,ย baking,ย andย operating kitchen equipment.ย ย As aย Pastryย Cook you will work directly with theย Pastyย Chefย on safe operating of kitchen equipment, executing recipes, followingย pars, sanitation procedures, and cleanlinessย in accordance withย state and federal health code requirements.ย ย ย 

Job Requirements:ย 

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.ย 
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds withoutย assistance.ย 
  • Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and consistent use of hands, fingers, and arms.ย 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.ย 
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, adjust vision to both day and night lighting and be able to focus on distant and close-range objects.ย ย 
  • Regularly required to taste and smell.ย 
  • Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.ย ย Schedule can vary between 5am-2am, weekends and holidays.ย 
  • Position requires handling of food and beverage products potentiallyย containingย but not limitedย to:ย dairy, gluten, wheat, soy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, garlic, onions, shellfish, or fin fish.ย ย 
  • Position requires potential exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, steam, and extreme heat and cold.ย 
  • Position requires potential exposure to and use of toxic or caustic chemicals.ย 
  • Ability to travel to Snowbasin for scheduled shifts.ย 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:ย 

  • Read, understand, and abide by the employee handbook and resort & department polices & procedures.ย 
  • Maintain a positive work environment by working and communicating in a courteous and professional manner with all guests and co-workers.ย 
  • Maintain awareness of all state & federal sanitation procedures and industry food safety practices.ย ย 
  • Underย the directionย of F&B Director, Executive Chef, and Chef de Cuisine, a focus on sustainability practices built into standard operating procedures and daily operations.ย 
  • Executes recipes andย followsย station guides and prep lists meticulously.ย 
  • Operated efficiently, able to be self-sufficient in executing a task list when coordinated by the Pastry Chef.ย 
  • Adheres to quality, consistency of product, andย portionย control standards for all food items.ย 
  • Followsย all opening, closing, and cleaning checklists accurately.ย 
  • Participates in and promotes safety and accident prevention.ย 
  • Perform otherย duties asย assigned by management.ย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Utah Food Handlerโ€™s Permitย 
  • Must be 18 years or older
