Job description

Job Title: Equipment Operator / Laborer

Location: Hanover and surrounding areas

Job Type: Full-time (W-2 Employee)

Compensation: Based on experience and skill level

Company: Six Arrows Land Management

About Us:

Six Arrows Land Management is a growing tree service and excavation contractor specializing in residential and light commercial projects. Our work ranges from simple tree removals to full-scale land clearing, excavation, and grading for new construction. We also handle driveway grading and other site prep needs. As a small, owner-operated company with big plans, we’re focused on delivering quality results while building a solid, reliable team.

Position Overview:

We’re hiring a dependable and motivated Equipment Operator / Laborer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with equipment like skid steers and excavators and is also willing to jump in and help with physical labor when needed. Experience in tree work is a strong plus, but not required.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is young, driven, and looking to grow alongside a company that’s building something from the ground up. You’ll be working directly with the owner and playing a key role in the success and future of the business.

Note on Seasonal Work:

As we head into winter, there may be some days when weather limits our ability to work. However, we’re committed to keeping you busy and will do everything possible to provide consistent hours. In spring and summer, our work weeks typically average around 50+ hours, while winter hours may vary depending on conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate skid steers, excavators, and other equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist with general labor tasks on job sites
  • Haul equipment and materials using trucks and trailers
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and upkeep
  • Adapt to shifting tasks and job priorities throughout the day
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, professional work environment

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience operating equipment (especially skid steers and excavators)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable hauling trailers with equipment
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
  • Willing to work long hours, including early mornings and some weekends as needed
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
  • Basic Mechanical or equipment repair skills

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience and skill
  • W-2 employment with opportunities for advancement
  • A chance to grow with a company from the ground up
  • A hard-working, no-drama environment where results and work ethic matter
