LOCATION:  Upper Freehold Regional School District                     

                       Stone Bridge Middle School

                        Allentown, NJ

POSITION:                     Rising Stars Summer Theatre - Production Assistant

REPORTS TO:                Rising Stars Director

Overview:
Stone Bridge Middle School is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and collaborative Part-Time Production Assistant to support our Rising Stars Summer Theatre Program. 

This role is an excellent opportunity to work with a passionate team, help create an unforgettable theatrical performance, and serve as a mentor to young performing arts students. 

Must be available to work 4 days a week, 8:45AM - 1:45PM, Monday through Thursday, July 1 - August 10, 2026. Must also be available in the evening during Show Week - August 3 - 6, 2026.

* Interested candidates must be high school graduates or be graduating in June 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Summer Theatre Staff to plan and lead rehearsals and activities.
  • Support student performers with line memorization, vocal coaching, and choreography.
  • Guide students in creating props, painting scenery, and engaging in stagecraft projects.
  • Assist with the technical aspects of the production, including lighting and set design.
  • Operate or assist with technical theatre equipment such as light boards and spotlights.
  • Contribute to set construction and backstage organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Rising Stars Summer Theatre Director.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with middle and high school-aged students.
  • Background in musical theatre performance (singing, acting, choreography).
  • Familiarity with stagecraft, set construction, and prop-making.
  • Ability to operate lighting and technical theatre equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
