Working Environment: Working Ranch & Guest Hospitality


OBJECTIVE: 

The housemen are responsible for assisting and supporting the housekeeping team. They are responsible for delivering buckets with linen and other supplies for the guest cabins, cleaning the log fireplaces, and town runs to collect items requested by guests.

Housemen are also responsible for assisting in the housekeeping functions of the ranch. Individuals work in guest cabins, all public areas, and the linen room. All work is performed to standards of quality as required by the owners and communicated by the Housekeeping Manager & Housekeeping Supervisor. A successful houseman is one who takes pride in his/her work, is flexible, and works with initiative and momentum.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Load and deliver buckets filled with linens and glassware to cabins, pick them up at end of day.
  • Clean fireplaces in room and public areas.
  • Sweep and clean cabin porch areas, clean outside cabin windows. 
  • Evening cleaning of public areas and guest assistance (PM duty). 
  • Assist with evening turn-down service in guest units.
  • Be on standby to assist with weekly thorough or daily cleaning of guest units and public areas.
  • Clean linen room, guest laundry, and staff bathrooms in the kitchen and staff dining room. 
  • Report maintenance requests to Housekeeping Manager or Supervisor. 
  • Assist with linen bucket breakdown.
  • Trash pick-up, vehicle and golf cart minor maintenance
  • Occasionally bus tables, work dish pit, during guest meals. 
  • Genuinely smile at all times when guests are around. 

NON-ESENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Performs all related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a current and active U.S. driver's license.
  • Must have clean driving record. 
  • Must be able to drive in various weather conditions. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to push, pull, bend and reach. 
  • Must be able to work with eco-lab chemicals. 
  • Must be able to work with bleach and other cleaning agents.
  • Must be able to work around hazard conditions such as bodily fluids.
