Real Estate Controller

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll lead and elevate the entire accounting function while driving efficiency and accuracy across a complex, multi-site portfolio.

  • Oversee all core accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, property-level accounting)

  • Own the financial close process and deliver timely, accurate GAAP reporting

  • Strengthen internal controls, policies, and audit readiness

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to guide business decisions

  • Manage cash flow, capital expenditures, and banking relationships

  • Drive systems improvements and automation initiatives to modernize finance operations


What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role

  • Experience with property-level or multi-site accounting environments

  • Background in senior living, healthcare, multifamily, or real estate preferred

  • Strong command of GAAP and internal controls

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with systems such as NetSuite, Yardi, Ramp, or Sage Intacct

  • A leadership style that is hands-on, strategic, and collaborative
