Minnesotaย 5-12 or 7-12 Mathematics
Position Summary:
Working Dates: 6/15/26-8/21/26ย ย 
Compensation:
Tonka Online Summer Teacher position is compensated at a per pupil stipend.ย The rate of pay will be $270/student for all courses other than physical education (including wellness) which will be paid at a rate $160/student.ย

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1.ย  ย  Deliver online lessons, using District approved instructional materials adapted to an online learning environment.
2.ย  ย  Promote student success through clear expectations, prompt responses, and regular feedback.
3.ย  ย  Utilize and incorporate strategies to encourage active learning, application, interaction, participation, and collaboration in the online environment.
4.ย  ย  Evaluate students' academic growth and keepย appropriate records.
5.ย  ย  Demonstrate competency in using data from assessments and other data sources to adjust instruction.
6.ย  ย  Communicate as needed with parents by means of Schoology messages, phone calls, emails, and/or virtual or in person conferences, etc.
7.ย  ย  Work in a supportive and collaborative manner with Tonka Online Coordinator and supervisors.
8.ย  ย  Demonstrate competence in implementing assessments in online learning environments in ways that ensure validity and reliability of the instruments and procedures.
9.ย  ย  Participate in professional learning in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices in an online learning environment.
10.ย  Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Specific Responsibilities:
1.ย ย ย  Collaborative work in a fast-paced environment interacting with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the community with multiple requests and concerns.
2.ย ย ย  Support and communicate with other administrators and staff.
3.ย ย ย  Respond in emergency situations.
4.ย ย ย  Know, interpret, and follow school District policies.

1.ย ย ย  Demonstrated ability to apply appropriate skills in performing daily routines.ย 
2.ย ย ย  Demonstrated ability to operate a computer, software and necessaryย technology.
3.ย ย ย  Ability to develop effective and positive working relationships with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the community.
4.ย ย ย  Maintain professional composure while dealing with a variety of personalities and situations. ย 
5.ย ย ย  Show initiative and function as a self-starter.
6.ย ย ย  Effectively communicate and have interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
