Job description

Position Overview and Responsibilities
The James Lab is looking for a Summer Clinical Intern. This internship in the Arthritis & Clinical Immunology Research Program (ACI) will provide a motivated individual the opportunity to assist with clinical research studies directed towards understanding the mechanisms of autoimmunity.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Recruiting and screening study participants
  • Conducting clinical research visits
  • Collecting and entering study data
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • Interest in clinical research
  • Strong computer skills are required
  • Excellent organization, oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be professional, team oriented, and personable.
  • Must be able to take direction, follow instructions and take meticulous records.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interest in the pursuit of graduate level education in the biological sciences or medicine is preferred.
  • Junior year of high school completed.
  • Seeking a degree in biological sciences or related field and have completed at least 36 hours of science course work.

Work Hours
Flexible full or part-time hours, typically Monday through Friday, between 8:30AM to 5PM. Summer positions typically are from the beginning of June to the end of July.
