Reinforce Critical Infrastructure for Major Industrial Builds.

Pennwest Specialized Contracting Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Rodbuster to serve as a foundational member of our field operations team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the structural integrity of vital water and wastewater treatment facilities across the region.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be the backbone of our heavy civil projects, ensuring all reinforcement steel is placed accurately, safely, and on schedule:

  • Heavy Reinforcement: Install, tie, and secure heavy rebar and wire mesh strictly according to precise engineering specifications.
  • Blueprint Execution: Accurately interpret complex structural construction blueprints to ensure the exact layout and placement of reinforcement steel.
  • Concrete Operations: Execute and actively assist in large-scale, heavy concrete pours to maintain elite project structural standards.
  • Site Adaptability: Collaborate on various crossover tasks to support the overall momentum of the job site and avoid costly delays.
  • Project Deadlines: Meet rigorous project milestones through highly disciplined time management and necessary overtime work.
  • Environmental Endurance: Navigate demanding outdoor environments, maintaining high performance and safety during both extreme summer and winter weather.
  • Quality Standard: Uphold strict quality-control standards within a dedicated, high-performance, non-union workforce.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)Required Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience in heavy rebar installation and tying.
  • Technical Mastery: The proven ability to read, understand, and accurately interpret complex structural construction blueprints.
  • Physical Capabilities: Immense physical stamina to meet the heavy manual demands of industrial site work safely.
  • Travel & Schedule: A complete, absolute willingness to travel to various project sites and work overtime as required.
  • Logistics: Proficiency in English and possession of a highly reliable means of personal transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: Previous hands-on experience specifically within water or wastewater treatment plant construction is a massive plus!
  • Safety Certifications: Possession of an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety certification.
  • Mindset: The demonstrated ability to work highly effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
