Job Summary:

Hughes General Contractors is proud to offer a paid summer internship program for currently enrolled High School students that are pursuing the high school pathway in architecture, engineering and construction, as well as others who would like to gain a greater understanding of the world of construction. This Student Learner program gives the students the chance to gain an understanding of the construction process from start to finish, hands on experience to learn different trades work such as carpentry and concrete, as well as learning life skills they can carry with them moving forward.

The 2025 season will go from June 8, 2026 - August 7, 2026

We are currently accepting applications, Interviews will be held the end of April into the beginning of May If you are interested in being considered for an internship, please complete our application and answer the included questions to help us best determine the right fit. All applicants that meet the qualifications below, will be given an interview, time permitting.

Min Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in High School (in Northern Utah)
  • Must be between the ages of 16 - 17 years old
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have reliable transportation

Additional Job Information:

This is a hands on learning experience. Student learners that are hired will be out on the job site working in tandem with their assigned supervisor and other employees as part of the team.

Not all student learners will be on the same job site. As well, some driving will more than likely be involved depending on available job sites at the time of internship.
