Job Summary
The Senior Business Development Specialist role is a mid-level, full-time, permanent position. This position is fully-remote, allowing you to work from home Monday - Friday each week. This position is primarily responsible for driving business development initiatives that support the Company's growth and long-term success. The objective of this position is to strengthen existing client relationships, cultivate new business opportunities, and enhance market presence by delivering strategic sales, marketing, and client engagement efforts that align with organizational goals and promote sustainable revenue growth. Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Promotes the Company's services by proactively identifying opportunities to expand new and existing client partnerships and by anticipating and addressing client needs.
  • Actively contributes to weekly business development meetings, providing insights that shape company growth strategies and sales performance.
  • Develops and delivers high-quality sales proposals and presentations that adhere to internal guidelines, collaborating with technical and project management teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with business strategy.
  • Oversees the development, creation, and maintenance of marketing literature to support brand awareness and business growth.
  • Collaborates with Finance and Project Management teams to provide accurate financial data for proposals and RFPs, leveraging insights from past project profitability and performance to inform more precise future project bids.
  • Fosters trusted, long-term relationships while ensuring alignment with client objectives and organizational goals.
  • Ensures the highest level of client satisfaction by monitoring service delivery, resolving issues promptly, and driving continuous improvement in customer experience.
  • Maintains and strengthens relationships across complex industry networks to support business development and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Attends industry-relevant conferences and events to expand professional networks and strengthen outreach efforts.
  • Performs strategic assessments of client relationship initiatives to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities for enhanced engagement.

Requirements
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to understand and apply contractual terms, client guidelines, and industry standards to maintain compliance and optimize client relationships.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability; aligns work with strategic goals.
  • 50% travel based on client and company need

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 6 years sales or business development related experience in the electric power and transmission and distribution (T&D) industry
  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university preferred
