Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Summer Helper is a temporary employee who will provide clean up and support the site through special projects as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs
  • Follow safety protocols and report hazards to ensure a safe work environment
  • Use broom, shovel, rake, air hoses to clean work areas and machine centers removing sawdust, pieces of wood, and other debris
  • Use motorized equipment such as sweeper truck, water truck, skidsteer, front-end loader, forklift, etc...
  • Train as a relief operator, becoming proficient on machine centers and fill in as needed
  • Maintain acceptable production levels
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Duties vary by location

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Willing to work various shifts
  • Ability to pass a hair follicle test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Enrolled as a full-time college student for the Fall semester
  • High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL DEMANDS- Production
Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.
