Job Purpose:
Are you a hands-on learner who enjoys solving problems and helping people? Join our team as a Parts Department Intern and get real-world experience in a fast-paced, friendly environment. You'll learn how a parts department runs-from helping customers to organizing inventory and supporting our service team. We welcome motivated individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Duration: June 2026 - August 2026, 12 week program
Location: In-Person, JX Truck Center - Green Bay
Compensation: $15.00-$20.00 / Hour (Depending on Experience)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Honor Commitments:
  • Process orders and keep customers updated on delivery status.
  • Help technicians find the parts they need to fix vehicles, ensuring the service team's commitment to vehicle completion is supported.
  • Count and organize parts to keep inventory accurate, ensuring parts availability promises can be kept.

Create Positive Experiences:
  • Greet customers with a smile and assist them in finding the right parts.
  • Answer questions in person or by phone clearly and courteously.
  • Share pricing, promotions, and helpful suggestions with customers.

Foster Life-long Learning:
  • Learn how to use inventory software.
  • Shadow experienced team members.
  • Take on new tasks as you grow in the role.

Exhibit a Pioneering Spirit:
  • Assist with returning unused parts to vendors, suggesting improvements to the return process.
  • Take on new tasks as you grow, showing willingness to embrace challenges outside the initial scope.

Demonstrate Good Stewardship:
  • Keep the shop stocked and organized.
  • Keep shelves neat and the workspace clean, protecting assets and minimizing clutter.

Other Duties as Assigned:
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently in high school or working toward a GED
  • Friendly and willing to learn
  • Comfortable using a computer
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Valid driver's license
  • Forklift experience is a plus (but not required)
  • Interest in cars, trucks, or how things work is a bonus
