Summary of Position:
The EDI Analyst provides analysis and support to both internal and external customers on EDI-related issues, including the electronic exchange of data such as enrollment, claims, payments, and clearinghouse activities. The role leads and coordinates key process improvements to EDI implementations, participates in the design of new applications and integration strategies, and ensures the security, integrity, and reliability of EDI systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Leads, coordinates, and administers key process improvements to internet-based EDI implementations
  • Participates in the design and review of new applications and integration strategies of EDI systems
  • Responds to inquiries relating to EDI from providers and internal departments
  • Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives
  • Creates documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, work instructions, and corrections
  • Interprets the manuals prepared for users to describe operating procedures
  • Installs, coordinates, and troubleshoots EDI-related products
  • Defines and performs EDI system backups and recovery procedures
  • Performs data audits and quality control measures
  • Establishes and implements policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure EDI system security

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or 8 years in a combination of education and experience in IT Analysis and EDI Systems
  • Extensive EDI Mapping Experience
  • Must be able to read and understand X12, VICS, UCS, XML, Tradacom and Edifact Specifications
  • Oracle e-Business Suite and SQL experience a plus
  • Must have good verbal and writing communications and is an effective communicator
  • Must be detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to define and execute appropriate test scenarios to validate system solutions
  • Ability to influence and gain support of Key Stakeholders

Accountabilities:
  • Maintain a Customer Service Survey rating of at least 4.5 out of 5
  • Transmission of all EDI communications
  • Resolution of all transmission and failures
  • Facilitation of EDI process improvements
  • Implementation & modification of new trading partners

Relationships:
  • Reports directly to the Director of Oracle Applications
  • Work closely with Order Management and Finance teams
  • Interact with both the end-user community from these departments as well as the various subject matter experts (SME's)
  • Collaborate with EDI VAN partners and act as the primary contact will retail customers
