Job Description Seasonal - Summer Camp Director- $18.00 Seasonal - Summer Camp Counselor-$15.00 Program Start Date: June 1, 2026 Training Date: June 8, 2026 Program End Date: July 24, 2026 These positions will oversee total operations of camp or deliver educational based summer camp activities at several locations. May serve as the Site Leader and correspond with parents as necessary. Work may require some outdoor activities

If Selected for a Seasonal - Summer Camp Director position Oversee total operations of camp. Ability to develop, train and implement quality developmentally appropriate activities. Communicate with parents regarding camper registration.

Supervise and direct PT Camp Counselors. Teaches prepared lesson to school-aged children. Adjusts lesson to be age appropriate.

Sets up materials for activities. Prepares and plans for upcoming lessons. Performs related work as required.

If Selected for a Seasonal - Summer Camp Counselor position Must be able to implement summer camp programs recreational and educational activities through lesson plans. Supervises participants, primarily school-age children, in playground or recreation center activities including literacy, math and science educational activities, games, sports, tournaments, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, entertainment, and field trips. Demonstrates and observes the use of equipment and materials needed for activities and maintains assigned equipment.

Explains and enforces safety procedures and rules. Administers emergency first aid. Assists in the maintenance and preparation of required records on activities and participants.

Performs related work as required. Open Requirements/Supplemental Information Minimum of two (2) years' related experience preferably as a coordinator or supervisor of a child care program. Must have a minimum of one year of related experience working with children, or any acceptable combination of education and experience.

Must pass background screening on a local, state and federal level as required by the State of Florida Children and Family Services. Must successfully complete CPR and First Aid course which will be provided (date to be determined). Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Skills: Experience managing 2-8 staff members. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in a summer camp environment.
