Job description

Stoel Rives LLP has an immediate opening for a Recruiting Coordinator in our Portland or Seattle office. This position is responsible for the administrative coordination for law school recruiting, summer program implementation, lateral attorney recruiting, staff recruiting, pre-hire onboarding, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Senior Attorney Recruiting Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Lateral Attorney Recruiting

  • Assist in the processing of lateral attorney applications.

  • Schedule and coordinate lateral attorney interviews.

  • Manage and maintain internal and external job postings on multiple platforms, including LinkedIn.

  • Collaborate with Office Administrators to ensure smooth transition of new hires to onboarding process.

Law Student Recruiting and Summer Associate Program

  • Coordinate participation in law school recruiting and interviewing events, resume collection processes, and processing incoming law student applications.

  • Update and maintain recruiting materials for firm-wide use.

  • Coordinate screening and callback interviews and evaluations.

  • Assist with Recruiting Committee meeting logistics.

  • Coordinate and assist with summer program execution, including orientation, training, social events, and project assignments and evaluations. Attend social events as needed as a representative of the recruiting team.

  • Coordinate internal and external recruiting, networking, and related legal industry events as needed.

Staff Recruiting

  • Prepare and post job openings on various local job boards (ALA, bar associations, etc.).

  • Assist with scheduling candidate interviews (phone screens, video conferences, and in-person meetings).

  • Assist with sourcing potential candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter.

General Administrative Support

  • For attorney and staff recruitment, maintain applicant tracking database (Workday) including candidate entry, and manage candidate communications, candidate recruitment process data, and search firm data.

  • Process team invoices and expenses.

  • Work with Office Administrators to coordinate local law student and attorney recruiting activity as needed, which can include calendaring, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and preparing correspondence and materials.

Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES

Must possess the following capabilities: excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills; strong customer/client service orientation; ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure; strong planning and organizational skills; ability to handle complex job duties which are widely varied under general supervision; ability to perform arithmetic calculations; exercise good judgment and use discretion; employ a high degree of integrity and confidentiality. Must be able to observe rules governing privileged communications and confidential information. Must be able to work effectively with a variety of people at all levels inside and outside of the firm, and be flexible with evolving demands, providing a "can-do" attitude under pressure

Physical/Mental Capabilities

Job requires frequent sitting, talking and listening. Must be able to type on a computer keyboard in a sitting position for extended periods of time during a workday. Position requires occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, light lifting, and reaching. Must be able to: operate computer, telephone, photocopy, and other office equipment; must be able to read, interpret, and understand written and verbal instructions, notes, or information; learn quickly; express ideas clearly in written and verbal form; and maintain stable performance, sometimes under time constraints.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or four (4) years of applicable work experience is preferred.

  • At least 2 years of experience providing general administrative support to a team is desired.

  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, assisting student recruiting programs and coordinating with universities, with a preference for experience in the legal industry or other professional services environment.

  • Experience recruiting across more than one office location or geographic region.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other communications platforms. Experience with Workday a plus.

  • Experience invoice and receipt processing, and digital file management is required.

  • A passion for enhancing the candidate experience across the entire recruiting lifecycle.

  • Enjoy working with people and building relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and skillfully manage the competing priorities and tight deadlines that often come during the recruiting process.

NORMAL WORK HOURS

This is a hybrid position, is non-exempt, and eligible for overtime compensation. Regular office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The ability to work longer hours is essential during peak workload periods.

The pay range for this position is $56,000 - $98,000; however, the base compensation presented to a candidate may vary based on skills and overall experience. This salary range is based on market location.
