Job Summary

This is a seasonal position supporting the HR team in onboarding our winter staffin town and on the mountain.The position will be 30 hours a week, Wednesday through Saturday, from September through December. The onboarding process provided by the HR team supports the timely onboarding of winter seasonal staff through up-to-date hiring trackers, communications, and providing coverage at The Stash where employees pick up uniforms, badges, etc. The right applicant is professional with excellent service skills, a passion for employee experience, learns quickly, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

  • Distribute, track & handle distribution of employee uniforms.

  • Make & distribute nametags for Mt. Bachelor Employees.

  • Print and administer employee passes and maintain updated employee dependent information.

  • Administer a wide variety of employee perks (Ski & Bike Exchange, Product Testing Coupons, Bachelor Bucks, etc.).

  • Assist employees with paperwork and onboarding as needed.

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information such as wage data and other personal material.

  • Maintain current knowledge of mountain operations and programs to provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding Mt. Bachelor policies, expectations, perks, and events.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

  • Actively participate in company meetings, trainings, and orientations to ensure success.

  • Beprofessional and focused on solutions; independently resolve conflicts before they escalate or use available resources when the solution is unknown.

  • Enthusiastically jump into other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1-2 years office / retail experience.

  • Technology proficient.

  • Experience using HR Operating Systems.

Interpersonal Contacts

  • This position is in very high contact with our staff and the Resort Leadership Team. Has contact with every staff member on the mountain, as well as external guests and business associates.

Specific Job Skills

  • License/Certifications: Current and valid Driver's License Required.

  • Physical Capabilities: The ability to work in a variety of temperatures and have the physical fitness to walk across snow-covered surfaces in low light conditions (night). Must be capable of performing strenuous work in inclement weather conditions. The physical capabilities to perform duties of Lodge Services: vacuuming, sweeping, lifting, shoveling snow, restroom cleaning, and all duties required by the position. Able to remain on feet most of the day. Must be able to sit for extended periods.

  • Computer Use: Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. MS Excel & ability to use POS systems is preferred. Proficient user of a variety of computer systems and able to quickly learn new software.

  • Additional: Strong sense of confidentiality, exceptional communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is highly productive, calm in a fast-paced workplace, professionally assertive, and creative and adaptable when necessary. Strong verbal communication.
