Looking for a full-time summer job where you can stay active, work with a great team, and gain hands-on manufacturing experience? If your answer is YES, apply today so we can connect and share more about our Extrusion Press Team opportunities at Apogee Enterprises.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As part of the Extrusion Press Team or Distribution Team, you'll help produce high-quality aluminum products used in commercial buildings across North America. Team members are cross-trained in several areas and work together in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities may include:

  • Operating production equipment
  • Handling and moving aluminum materials
  • Cutting material to specifications
  • Stretching and inspecting extrusions
  • Packaging and transferring materials
  • Performing quality checks
  • Using hand tools and measurement equipment
  • Supporting a safe and clean work environment
Specific roles may include:
  • Die Setter
  • Stretcher Operator
  • Saw Operator
  • Saw Tail Operator
Pay:
  • Starting at $18.50/hour
  • Shift premiums may apply depending on shift
Hours:
2nd Shift
  • 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Distribution)
  • 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM (Extrusion)

3rd Shift
  • 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Distribution)
  • 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM (Extrusion)

Full-time summer employees may be required to work overtime based on production needs.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen & Physical
  • Minimum summer commitment required
  • Ability to stand and stay active throughout the shift
  • Frequent bending, walking, lifting, reaching, and twisting
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
  • Ability to read a tape measure and follow work instructions
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Strong attendance and reliability
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Steel toe shoes required
