JOB DESCRIPTION:
Summer Helpers
Multiple positions available
June-September: 40hrs per week Monday - Friday, 6:30am-3pm
Summer Helpers are strongly encouraged to apply for any open permanent positions at any time they become open and may be invited to stay on as Substitute Custodians if no permanent and regularly scheduled positions are available.
JOB SUMMARY:
Job will involve supporting community and athletic events as well as regular cleaning.
Positions are responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas and for filling in when other custodial staff throughout school district are absent.
Positions report to School Head Engineer, School Principal and Director of Buildings & Grounds.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Good social skills.
  2. Good physical condition
  3. Ability to work independantly without total supervision.
  4. Effective verbal, written and reading skills.
  5. Effective computer skills for accessing emails, viewing information and/or filling out forms as needed.
  6. Valid drivers license is preferred.
  7. Dependable, honest, and courteous.
  8. Develop and maintain a good working relationship with public and fellow employees.

Dialy Working Conditions:
  1. Working conditions include but not limited to working with your hands, using cleaning chemicals and operating custodial equipment to clean and maintain schools.
  2. Regular physical activity involves climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching. standing, walking, pushing, lifting, grasping.

Selection Procedure:
Qualified applicants will be interviewed followed by a reference check and job offer. Job offers are contingent upon satisfactory backgrounds check completed by the applicant.
