Job Title: Summer School Staff
Salary: $15.55 an hour
Reports to: Principal or designee
Job Summary:
Promotes in a positive manner the educational development of students; this includes academic learning and the enhancement of self concept.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides instruction in literacy, math and technology
- Maintains the confidentiality of student communications and keeps records as required by law, policy and regulations.
- Creates a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment and maintains control of the classroom, supervisor areas, and assemblages of students.
- Sets class and instructional goals in accordance with district goals and objectives.
- Reports and records any injury immediately.
- Assumes responsibility for the condition of the classroom.
- Properly completes and submits all forms pertaining to absences, student progress, etc.
- Responsible for being familiar with the school/district policies and procedures which govern the work.
- Prompt and regular attendance is required.
Other Job Functions:
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
- Participates in various meetings and professional development activities for the purpose of sharing information and/or improving one's skills/knowledge.
Essential Job Requirements - Qualifications:
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice strategies, i.e. cognitive, affective, and psychomotor areas of child growth and development.
- Ability to communicate and work harmoniously with administrative personnel, staff, parents, and community.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred.
- Ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously as a team member.
- Ability to plan, organize, and work without close supervision.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with District personnel and the public.

Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
