NOTICE OF POSITION
POSITION:
The Interim Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Ebony E. Prophet-Bullock, Ed.D., is interested in receiving applications from qualified Candidates for August Regents Translators to support students taking Regents exams. Teachers, Teacher Aides, Teacher Assistants who are fluent in languages such as:
Arabic
Bengali
Burmese
Dari
Karen
Kinyarwanda
Pasto
Somali
Spanish
Swahili
Mandatory Virtual Training: Monday, August 17, 9:00-10:00 am
Regents Day 1: Tuesday, August 18
Regents Day 2: Wednesday, August 19
Scoring: Day 1 Thursday, August 20
Scoring Day 2: Friday, August 21
Hours are dependent on student and school needs
Up to 7.25 hours each day (hourly)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Translators:
Candidates must be current Buffalo Public Schools employees, holding a job title of Teacher, Teacher Assistant, or Teacher Aide, in order to be considered for a translator position. Assignments will be given to qualified Buffalo Public School Teachers, Teacher Aides, or Teacher Assistants in order of summer school seniority.
APPOINTMENT:
Appointments will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, following assessment of fluency in the language being applied for, including summer school seniority.
SALARY: Hourly rate based on BTF contract. Teacher aide and assistant hourly rate based upon contract
