We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Accounting Intern to join our Finance and Accounting team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting, financial operations, reporting, and business processes within a growing manufacturing and production environment.

This internship is designed to provide meaningful exposure to real-world accounting and finance operations while supporting key business initiatives during the summer term.

Position Summary

The Summer Accounting Intern will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with financial and administrative projects. The role will work closely with Accounting, Finance, and operational leaders to help maintain accurate financial records and support ongoing business activities.

This is a temporary internship position intended to provide educational and professional development experience.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities 
  • Support invoice processing, payment tracking, and vendor account maintenance 
  • Assist with account reconciliations and financial recordkeeping 
  • Support month-end close activities and reporting processes 
  • Help organize and maintain accounting documentation and files 
  • Review expense reports for completeness and policy compliance 
  • Assist with internal reporting and data analysis projects 
  • Support collections follow-up and payment tracking activities 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather and validate financial      information 
  • Perform general administrative and accounting support duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship, coursework, or work experience in accounting or finance 
  • Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, or QuickBooks 
  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, or business analytics 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time 
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers and keyboards 
  • Ability to occasionally move files or materials up to 15 pounds 

Compensation

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and qualifications.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site in Anaheim, California. The work environment is professional, collaborative, and fast-paced.
