We are currently looking for a full-time Barista/Cashier. The Barista/Cashiers perform multiple job duties and provides excellent customer service. Baristas take orders at the counter and make coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications as well as package baked goods as ordered. Duties also include operating cash registers and credit card machines.


Hours for the position are Tuesday-Friday 6:30 am-3 pm and Saturday 7 am-1 pm


Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Responsible for maintaining an inviting environment for customers and guests of the school.
  • Maintains proper sanitation of front of house.
  • Responsible for the preparation of coffee/espresso drinks.
  • Responsible for packaging of bakery products and other products for customers.
  • Maintains the cash register.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of barista experience.
  • One year of customer service experience in a restaurant, bakery, or coffee shop.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with customers, students, faculty, and staff face to face and via the telephone, and maintain a pleasant and inviting environment for all.
  • Must be able to memorize product descriptions and be able to properly describe each item in a manner that promotes sales.
  • Must be able to keep simple records and maintain a cash register without reoccurring errors.
  • Must be able to conduct inventory and report needed supplies.
  • Must maintain proper sanitation standards.
