Position: Clinical Technician

Type: Hourly, Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $21-23 hourly

  • AM (6:30am - 3:00pm)
  • PM (2:30pm - 11:00pm)
  • NOC (10:30pm - 7:00am)

Program Details:


The Program is a 14-Bed Crisis Stabilization Mental Health Residential Facility. This program will treat high acuity clients with mental health disorders such as: Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia, Depression, Anxiety, etc. Due to the nature of the clients treated at this program, and the relevant governing body (DSS and DHCS) requirements, candidates with a background of treating mental health clients in a crisis setting are strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Client Care: Support patients struggling with addiction and mental health disorders through daily activities and programming, appointments, and crisis intervention.
  • Safety Checks: Conduct regular physical checks on all patients within care (a.k.a. โ€œroundsโ€).
  • Intakes & Discharges: Play a leading role in patient intakes and discharges from the treatment facility, ensuring all clients feel comfortable and welcome.
  • Medication Observation: Monitor and document client self-administration of medications in accordance with the facilityโ€™s policies and procedures.
  • Group Facilitation: Participate in and facilitate applicable group sessions (e.g. life skills, art therapy, outings, etc.).
  • Documentation: Take all required notes in the company's electronic medical record system (KIPU).


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • License/Credentials: RADT, SUDRC, or RAC (required); candidates who are willing to get their RADT/SUDRC/RAC (9-hour online course) are encouraged to apply
  • Education: High School Diploma / GED or Bachelorโ€™s Degree (preferred)
  • Experience: 1+ years of behavioral healthcare experience (preferred)
  • Additional:
  • Valid CA Driver's License (required)
  • Current Health Screen / Physical (required)
  • TB Test Clearance (required)
