• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse history and mental health—using structured tools to facilitate accurate diagnostics.
• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that address both their addiction issues and any underlying mental health concerns.
• Facilitate evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions, employing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
• Engage with other treatment team members to coordinate integrated care, ensuring a holistic approach to each client's journey toward recovery.
• Provide education and support to clients' families, fostering their involvement in the recovery process and helping them understand the complexities of addiction.
• Maintain detailed and compliant records of client interactions and progress, in alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices in the mental health field.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals dealing with substance use disorders, many of whom may have co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, or trauma-related issues. This role requires a deep understanding of the challenges at the intersection of addiction and mental health, and the provision of empathetic guidance to support clients on their recovery journey.

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) is required.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is necessary.
• Specialized training or direct experience in addiction counseling is essential for this role.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices for addressing substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders is critical.
• Demonstrated therapeutic and counseling skills with the capacity to motivate and inspire clients toward recovery.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective teamwork and client engagement.

• Experience working within a community health setting or with diverse populations dealing with addiction.
• Prior involvement in multi-disciplinary teams focusing on mental health and substance abuse recovery.
• Background in training or supervising less experienced staff or interns is a plus.
