The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented SaaS Billing Analyst to oversee our recurring subscription management. As the Billing Analyst, you will serve as a key member of the finance team during a period of transformation and growth. This role will oversee all aspects of billing and related activities for the company. This is a high-impact opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic, and data-driven environments. The Billing Analyst will bridge finance, sales, and operations to manage subscription billing, revenue recognition, and churn analysis.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead enterprise-wide billing processes, including discount programs, promotional billing, and account termination.

  • Deliver accurate invoice amounts and billing amounts by conducting proactive account audits to eliminate revenue leakage and unbilled accounts .

  • Track overdue accounts, issue credit memos, and perform daily/monthly reconciliation of billing system data against the general ledger.

  • Work alongside accounting to ensure subscription revenue is correctly deferred and recognized.

  • Resolve billing inquiries, tax exemption adjustments, and payment processing issues directly with clients, partners, and fellow team members.

  • Manage sales tax compliance, track economic nexus thresholds across states, handle exemption certificates, reconcile tax collections for filings, and audit customer address data to ensure accurate tax rates are applied.

  • Develop financial insights and recommendations.

  • Contribute to scalable finance infrastructure by auditing current workflows and documenting standard operating procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Data Analytics, ideally within high-growth technology environments.

  • Advanced Excel modeling skills and proficiency with financial systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

  • Highly analytical, structured thinker with exceptional modeling and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.

  • Capable of navigating cross-functional teams.

  • Adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

  • Team-oriented, resilient, proactive, and solutions-focused.

  • Customer-service mindset: clear communication, patience, and professionalism when working with stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively.

  • Compensation includes a salary range of $70,000 to $80,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
