This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Billing Specialist based in Netherlands.

This role focuses on supporting customers and internal teams with accurate and efficient billing and subscription management solutions.
You will handle billing inquiries, resolve account-related issues, and contribute to improving the overall customer experience.

Accountabilities

The Associate Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing billing support activities, resolving subscription-related requests, and helping improve processes that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Handle customer billing and subscription inquiries through email and phone while ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
  • Manage billing support tickets, prioritize requests, follow up on open cases, and take ownership of customer issues.
  • Resolve complex billing situations, including compensation requests, refunds, credits, and finance-related inquiries.
  • Gather relevant information to support credit and refund decisions while maintaining accurate subscription records.
  • Escalate complex cases when necessary and collaborate with internal teams to identify effective solutions.
  • Analyze billing support trends and recommend process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
  • Contribute to internal and external support documentation, including knowledge base articles and tutorials.
  • Assist with special projects, cross-functional initiatives, and month-end billing processes when required.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to identify and resolve subscription-related issues.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate has experience in billing support, customer service, or subscription management, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Previous experience in billing support, subscription management, customer service, or a similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to make accurate decisions in sensitive situations.
  • Experience working with billing processes, subscription systems, or customer support platforms.
  • Confidence managing challenging customer requests while maintaining accountability and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience using customer support ticketing systems such as Zendesk or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data reporting tools such as Google Data Studio is considered an advantage.
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday, 06:00 AM-3:00 PM UTC.
