About Our Family

Based in Ventura, we are a warm, outdoorsy, and active household, complete with a sweet cat and a wonderful seven-year-old son who makes our home feel lively and bright. Both parents work full-time from home, balancing demanding schedules, frequent travel, and a household with a lot of moving parts. Our son has special needs and is supported by reliable caregivers, including an incredible live-in au pair who seamlessly manages his daily routines.

Life here moves fastbetween work calls, our son's doctor's appointments, constant deliveries, a household to-do list that feels endless, and the everyday rhythm of managing a bustling household, there's a lot on our plates that's contributing to our mental load.

We care deeply about our home feeling calm, organized, and functionalnot just tidy on the surface, but genuinely running like a well-oiled machine. We are seeking a long-term house manager who is thoughtful, highly organized, and proactive in creating and maintaining meaningful systems in our home that lighten the mental load of projects and tasks that feel overwhelming, so we can prioritize our well-being and focus more on having fun together as a family doing what we lovespending time together outdoors, swimming, cooking, traveling, enjoying weekend beach walks, and making meaningful memories together.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are a highly organized, self-directed professional who brings project management instincts to your role as house manager. You can easily walk into a space, read the room, assess the family's more fluid schedule, and use good judgment and excellent time management to know what needs to happen and what tasks to avoid. You're proactive, think a few steps ahead, create meaningful systems that hold up over time, and take quiet pride in a calm, refreshed, and organized household that runs on consistent systems.

Your energy is efficient, incredibly professional, and grounded you would describe yourself as capable, highly detail-oriented, and communicative, with a strong comfort in checking in on task progress and timing. You have a "let's get it done" attitude, are radically transparent when something needs to shift, offer helpful suggestions to streamline household operations, and are quick to notice what needs attention the drink fridge could be restocked, a pantry item running low, a delivery subscription cadence needing adjustments, and mail and paperwork that could be organized and you handle it seamlessly, without having to be asked.

You are warm and easy to be around, comfortable working in a family home alongside our son's caregivers, and able to get into a productive flow independently. You also have strong admin skills and are tech-savvy, comfortable navigating digital tools, apps, and document management systems. You genuinely enjoy administrative tasks, like tracking, scanning, and organizing household-related paperwork, and you bring the same level of care and precision to a fridge restock as you do to a complex scheduling task. You are discreet, maintain professional boundaries, and can work within a household with many moving parts in a calm, grounded, and nonintrusive way.
