Job DescriptionEfficiently investigate and resolve insurance claims. You’ll manage a caseload, negotiate settlements, and partner with stakeholders to ensure fair, accurate outcomes.\n

This role will be filled in our Stevens Point, WI – Division Street or Nashville, TN office locations under a hybrid work model.
\n

What You'll Do:
\n
As a Claims Representative - Liability on one of our Commercial Liability teams, you will:
\n

Support customers with empathy and understanding, assisting them through difficult situations and effectively communicating the claims process, the ongoing claim status, and decisions, including the reasoning behind them.
- \n
Verify coverage by thoroughly reviewing the policy and interpreting policy terms, conditions, and .
- \n
Evaluate liability by taking recorded statements from involved parties and witnesses, reviewing police reports, and compiling other pertinent evidence. Negotiate or deny liability based on the investigation outcome.
- \n
Evaluate physical damage and bodily injury claims based on estimates, photographs, appraisals, medical reports, medical bills, and other evidence. Work closely with medical providers, repair shops, and/or contractors to facilitate necessary and related services or repair work.
- \n
Establish timely reserves based on the ongoing liability and damage assessments. Negotiate property damage and bodily injury settlements with policyholders, claimants or attorneys, and other insurance carriers to resolve matters within the evaluation. Timely pay claims within assigned authority limits.
- \n
Comply with industry regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies through thorough documentation of all decisions, correspondence, and discussions that occur throughout the life cycle of the claim.
- \n
Determine if subrogation exists and work with the subrogation department on recovery of damages.
- \n
Obtain and maintain state licensing requirements.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum 1 year of related work experience

Insurance experience and/or coursework

Ability to review and analyze detailed documents, insurance policies, coverages, medical terminology, and insurance regulations

Ability to make appropriate claim decisions, prioritize, and manage workload
