Position Title: Sr. Subcontracts Administrator Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO; Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL; Fort Belvoir; VA, Dahlgren, VA; Vandenberg, CA Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: Yes - Available for this position Clearance Type: DoW Secret Shift: Day shift Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time This role specifically requires Subcontract Administrator experience. Candidates whose backgrounds consist only of COR or contract administration duties do not meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Description of Duties: Amentum is seeking an experienced Senior Subcontracts Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This position independently manages a portfolio of complex, high-value subcontracts from acquisition planning through closeout and serves as the principal subcontract business advisor to program and task order teams. The role is accountable for compliant execution, sound business decisions, subcontractor performance, and complete, audit-ready procurement files in accordance with applicable FAR/DFARS requirements, prime contract flowdowns, company policy, delegated authority, and approved acquisition strategies. The candidate will be responsible for the following: Subcontract Management: * Lead the full subcontract lifecycle. Plan, compete, negotiate, award, administer, modify, and close complex subcontracts with minimal supervision while maintaining clear ownership of schedule, risk, approvals, and file documentation. * Develop the acquisition strategy. * Translate technical requirements into executable packages. * Conduct and document market research. Identify capable sources, assess competition, validate supplier eligibility and responsibility, and support make-or-buy, commerciality, and single- or sole-source determinations when applicable. * Manage solicitations and source selection. Proposal Analysis, Negotiation, and Award: * Perform cost and price analysis. * Lead negotiations within delegated authority. * Document the business decision. * Establish the appropriate subcontracting arrangement. * Ensure award readiness. Post-Award Administration and Supplier Performance: * Maintain contractual control. * Administer changes. . * Monitor subcontractor performance. * Resolve performance and payment issues. * Maintain effective supplier relationships. * Complete formal closeout. Compliance, Records, and Business Leadership: * Interpret and apply requirements. * Maintain CPSR-ready and audit-ready files. . * Protect sensitive information. * Support reviews and corrective actions. * Improve execution. The successful candidate will: * Exercise sound independent judgment and know when a matter requires management, legal, compliance, or customer escalation. * Manage multiple high-priority actions and short deadlines without sacrificing compliance, documentation quality, or business judgment. * Communicate contractual risk clearly and convert technical or program requirements into specific, enforceable subcontract language. * Be organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and effective in a collaborative, matrixed program environment. * Understand how subcontract terms allocate cost, schedule, technical, and performance risk and applies that understanding during negotiations. Basic Requirements: * Must have 10, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience * May be reduced with completion of advanced education * Must have 5, or more, years of directly related experience in Government contracting * Must have 2 or more years of experience performing in a senior level subcontracts administration role or comparable position. * Must have demonstrated recent subcontract experience working with the FAR/DFARS * Working knowledge of multiple contract types including IDIQ, CPIF, T&M, firm-fixed price, and demonstrated ability to execute and interpret federal regulations within contracts * Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint * Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Requirements: * Have experience developing subcontract requirements with little to no prior acquisition history * Have demonstrated experience developing process improvements and new processes for subcontract management portfolios This position is expected to pay $125,000 - $140,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
