Job Summary:
The Program Manager (PM) – Business Management position is instrumental in the program execution focusing on ensuring a rigorous data management process for the XM30 Vehicle Program. Will lead the organization in ensuring proper planning, preparing, organizing, controlling, and submitting CDRLs (contractually required data), as well as managing the release and control of a wide variety of program related documentation. This may include documentation related to both foreign and domestic suppliers, government furnished information, and internal company data transfers. Integration is focused on the digital, mechanical and electrical connectivity and functionality to program requirements. The role is also responsible for the cross-functional coordination across the business management office – to include finance, scheduling, contract and supply chain. The role is also responsible for leading the proposal support and oversight required for the program of execution. This role is responsible for leading a multi-disciplined team to ensure monitoring and controlling practices including cost and schedule management, planning, resource coordination, risk management, relationship management, and decision making. The PM – Business Management is responsible for growing American Rheinmetall’s capability and successfully delivering key program objectives within the US defense market.
Essential Functions:
  • Direct support to Combat Vehicle Program Director and other Combat Vehicle Programs.
  • Lead a team by example, ensuring adherence to all agreed process and operating procedures.
  • Working with key stakeholders continuing to mature the organizational structure within the AR team to promote clear responsibilities and opportunities for team members to succeed in their roles.
  • Support the continued development and maturation of AR Program Management tools and processes.
  • Contribute toward AR Capture and Proposal teams in the development of compliant and winning proposals.
  • Support delivery and control of small-scale project/projects.
  • Manage all program data elements to ensure on-time delivery to the USG customer, and that configuration of the documents is maintained using Company Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools.
  • Manage initial creation, maintenance, and continual update of an internal CDRL tracker associated with customer deliverables, and an SDRL tracker associated with supplier deliverables.
  • Coordinate final processing of program CDRLs (contract deliverables) to the USG through the USG’s CDRL delivery system(s)
  • Maintain and mature data management process(es) to ensure compliance to American Rheinmetall and contractual requirements in support of the XM30 Combat Vehicle Contract
  • Maintain program Data Accession List (DAL) and compliance with USG standards
  • Manage data transfers between ARV and its subcontractors and vendors
  • Generate program metrics to support monitoring and control
  • Continuous improvement of processes/efficiencies as well as product portfolio.
  • Ability to travel to Germany and other sites in the US and abroad as required.
  • Undertake other duties as tasked by the Program Director or his/her delegate.

Education amp; Experience
  • BSc in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Vehicle Technology, Systems Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Data Management tools, such as TeamCenter and Windchill. Managing workflows for data production in TeamCenter.
  • Knowledge of data repositories and collaborative environments, such as SharePoint
  • Experience in working with large teams, varying in discipline (Engineering, Product Support, etc.), gathering information for submittal.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 Years’ Experience in delivering large complex US Defense programs, preferably in vehicle development domain
  • Experience in capture, bid contract negotiations, and planning delivery.
  • Experience with program management tools such as Earned Value Management, DELTEK Suite of Program Management Tools, MS Project, SAP - Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to speak German; Certificate i.e. IPMA – (Level A,B) required / strongly desired
  • Training in PMP, Agile, Systems Engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplined, multi-company, geographically distributed team
  • Experience in USG Defense deliverable systems, such as ARCUS
  • Experience with encryption software helpful
  • Knowledge of import and export regulations helpful (ex. ITAR regulations)
  • Experience with reviewing documentation for data marking compliance
  • Knowledge of DoD processes, and working on US Army programs
  • 5+ years minimum data management experience
  • Prior experience with system engineering practices to ensure the proper degree of engineering rigor is applied to all assigned tasks
