Job description

WHAT WE'RE DOING
This position is the Subcontract Manager for classified Franchise Programs within the Specialized Undersea Systems submarket segment within the Undersea Mission Systems (UMS) Market Segment. Franchise Programs is the largest program set in UMS. This on-site position, based out of Manassas, VA will be responsible for managing subcontracts, including Engineering Services and material activity on existing programs and capturing new, related business.
THE WORK
Candidate will be responsible for leading subcontract management efforts, ensuring seamless collaboration with subcontractors, and driving results to support program objectives. Responsibilities include:
Managing and administering subcontracts to ensure compliance with program requirements and company policies
Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure subcontractor alignment and performance
Developing and implementing subcontract management plans, strategies, and procedures to drive program success
Analyzing and resolving subcontract-related issues, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements
Managing key metrics and performance, including material base
Providing support to proposal activities
Traveling as necessary to support business needs
