Position Summary: The Subcontracts Specialist provides subcontract management support to the Materials Sector. This position is responsible for pre-award and post-award subcontract administration, including development of subcontract documents including modifications, cost analysis, processing invoices, and initiating subcontract closeouts. Reporting to the Subcontracts Manager in the Contracts and Grants Office, the Subcontracts Specialist will closely collaborate with Sector personnel and technical researchers to ensure efficient and compliant subcontract execution and management. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Word
Ability to meet deadlines, strong attention to detail, and a focus on superior customer service
Exceptional organizational and time management skills combined with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication, planning, problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills
Must be able to manage a consistent workload in a deadline driven environment
Ability to build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen
Due to the requirements of this work, candidates for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Minimum of four years of related experience in Government contracting or subcontracting, and/or purchasing
Experience with FAR/DFAR clauses and terms
Advanced degree in related field
