Buckeye Power Sales is a Growth-Oriented Company Seeking a Generator Technician for our Power & Construction Equipment Division!
Buckeye Power Sales has been providing on site power solutions for businesses, contractors, engineers, municipalities and homeowners since 1947, which makes us the oldest Rehlko (formerly Kohler) generator distributor in the country. We are also a distributor of Siemens Energy engines and generators for a wide range of power generation applications such as combined heat and power, waste to power, prime, and continuous. From power generation to light construction to grounds care - we have the machines, equipment, parts, programs & service to help you get the job done.

Our PCE Generator Technicians are responsible for:
  • Perform preventative maintenance & repairs on rental power generation equipment
  • Perform start-up and warranty work on rental generator equipment
  • Manage rental fleet including organization, material handling, shipping and receiving
  • Safe delivery and pick up of rental generator units
  • Process required paperwork in a timely and complete manner
  • Responsible for parts inventory on service truck
  • Further education to stay abreast of technological changes and develop knowledge base
  • Must own hand tools; specialty tools will be provided by the Company or purchased via tool allowance

Requirements
  • Conforms with the core values of BPS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license; able to meet and maintain insurance criteria for insurability
  • DOT Medical Card
  • Technical degree or certifications desirable
  • 21+ years of age
  • Generator experience preferred
  • Military, EGSA, or factory certification highly desirable
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Able to comprehend and troubleshoot from wiring schematics
  • Knowledge of A/C D/C circuits and electrical principles
  • Basic knowledge of diesel engines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work well unsupervised; able to work independently
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task required
  • Computer skills to include MS office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); data entry
  • Must represent the company in a positive manner at all times
  • Must be able to pass background check and periodic drug screens

Salary is based on skills and experience.
