Position Summary

The Head of Studio Operations & Content Strategy serves as a strategic advisor, organizational integrator, and operational leader for the Game Studios organization. This role blends high level strategic planning with hands on ownership of day to day studio operations, long range content strategy, and cross functional alignment.


This leader functions as the connective tissue across Studios, Product, and Commercial, driving clarity, predictability, and momentum across the entire development ecosystem. They enable the studio organization to execute with discipline by ensuring strong alignment on vision, priorities, resources, and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership & Content Strategy


   Partner with Studio Leadership to define organizational priorities, long range goals, and content direction.
   Drive content strategy processes: prioritization, resourcing, scenario planning, innovation strategy and investment evaluation. 
   Convert long range strategies into operational plans with clear milestones, KPIs, and cross functional alignment.

Studio Operations & Organizational Excellence


   Own the day to day operational rhythm for the Studio organization, including reporting, communications, and business cadence.
   Participate quarterly in annual planning cycles, ensuring alignment between Studios, Product, and Technology.
   Establish operational frameworks that enhance predictability, decision-making, and visibility across all studio teams.
   Drive continuous improvement in processes, communication flows, cross studio collaboration and AI advancements. 

Cross Functional Integration: Studios + Product + Technology


   Facilitate information flow between creative, technical, and commercial teams, proactively removing friction points and accelerating delivery.
   Lead cross functional governance to ensure content decisions consider Product strategy, Studio capacity, and Technology opportunities.
   Create and maintain a unified view of roadmap health, risks, and cross functional impacts.
   Anticipate cross team risks, surfacing issues early and orchestrating collaborative mitigation plans.

Executive Partnership & Decision Support


   Act as a strategic partner to Studio Leadership by providing insights, structured thinking, and options to support high quality, timely decisions.
   Prepare strategic briefs, business cases, operational updates, and narrative documents for leadership and key stakeholders.
   Represent Studio Leadership in meetings and forums as needed, ensuring clarity on decisions, actions, and follow ups.
   Synthesize insights across Studios, Product, and Technology to maintain cohesive executive prioritization and planning.

Leadership, Communication & Culture


   Drive clear and consistent communication of priorities, portfolio direction, and operational expectations across the studio ecosystem.
   Build and maintain strong relationships across Studios, Product, Technology, Publishing, Finance, HR, and other partner functions.
   Support org design, talent planning, and workforce strategy with HR and Studio Leadership.
   Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all teams.

Qualifications

   15+ years in game development, studio operations, production leadership, product strategy, technology operations, or management consulting.
   Proven experience working across creative, product, and technology organizations.
   Strong understanding of game development processes, portfolio management, and resource planning.
   Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, lead cross functional initiatives, and drive organizational alignment.
   Exceptional communication, narrative, and synthesis skills.
   Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable in complex, fast moving environments.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including skills, experience, education, and geographic location. These factors may result in variation in starting pay. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $125,000- $250,000 annually USD, based on a good-faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary. IGT complies with all applicable pay transparency and compensation laws and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. 
Base pay is one component of IGT's total rewards program. Depending on the role, employees may be eligible for bonus or commission opportunities. IGT also offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include a 401(k) savings plan with company contributions, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and other wellness programs, subject to eligibility requirements.
